Who We Are
Robert and Kai Kenney are a father/son team living and working in the beautiful Okanagan Valley.
As a child Robert had dreams of open pine forests & big blue skies and built modernist flat roof houses with LEGO. He grew up in a rural area south of Vancouver Canada and dreamt of being an Architect. At home he started tinkering with cars & working with wood in his dad’s shop at an early age. He learned to drive machinery for the local farmers and had his first vehicle at 13. The Architect didn’t happen but the creative spark and curiosity had been ignited. 35 years later, after a successful career in a highly creative profession in Vancouver, he made the move to the Sonora Desert. And the Architect/Designer dream is reborn.
Kai is Robert’s older son and he & his brother inherited all those LEGO bricks and an enthusiasm for making things with wood. He is a recent import from the coast and armed with a Red Seal Cabinet Maker certification. He gained his chops at some high end millwork shops in the lower mainland before making the move to the Okanagan. He also has some wicked computer skills as the renderings here will attest.
We are a small company designing and building THOW’s for a discerning market. We are working on making four models available to a set standard with available options. The first is the Ponderosa.
Our goal is to move tiny homes out of the arena of being a trend and into a viable and affordable way of life.
We are located in Ponderosa Pine country just east of Oliver BC Canada.
